GENERIC

Handles general barcode defects, including damage and degradation caused by production, handling, storage, or normal wear.

GENERIC_AND_THERMAL

Handles general barcode defects as well as common defect patterns associated with thermal printing. This is the default profile and is recommended for most scanning scenarios.

DEGRADED_THERMAL

Handles general barcode defects as well as defect patterns associated with severely degraded or malfunctioning thermal printers. Use this profile when scanning barcodes produced by thermal printers with defective printheads or similar hardware issues. Using it with other barcode populations may increase the risk of false-positive reads.
