Specifies the types of defects expected when scanning barcodes.

Selecting a profile that matches the expected barcode population can improve decoding performance.

Entries

Handles general barcode defects, including damage and degradation caused by production, handling, storage, or normal wear.

GENERIC_AND_THERMAL

Handles general barcode defects as well as common defect patterns associated with thermal printing.

DEGRADED_THERMAL

Handles general barcode defects as well as defect patterns associated with severely degraded or malfunctioning thermal printers.
